Adventures In Your Own Backyard
So You Can Bike, Hike & Breathe
Edge-on-Hudson is best explored on foot or bike, so you can take in epic Hudson Valley splendor. Hiking and biking excursions start in your own backyard, traversing our leafy districts, connecting residential to retail to riverfront—and all points in between. All trails lead to our soon-to-debut waterfront promenade, linking to the existing RiverWalk to the south and Kingsland Point Park to the north. You can also hop on the new shared-use walking and biking path on the Governor Mario M. Cuomo (Tappan Zee) Bridge.
A bit further afoot, even more trails abound. Life at Edge-on-Hudson offers amazing trail connections to the idyllic 1,400-acre Rockefeller State Park Preserve—featuring miles of historic carriage roads and a 22-acre lake, plus nearby access to the 22-mile multiuse rail trail of North County Trailway.
No day is complete without a jog around the community in the fresh Hudson Valley air. Or boardwalk biking through quaint Rivertowns along the shoreline, where you can refuel for the ride back home. From heart-pounding climbs through the heavily wooded hills to leisurely strolls on the east banks of the Hudson, nature is calling.
